Male Breast Cancer

About one percent of breast cancer develops in males. It is estimated that about 2,140 new cases are diagnosed annually in the US and about 300 in the UK, and the number of annual deaths is about 450 in the US.  In a study from India, eight out of 1,200 (0.7%) male cancer diagnoses in a pathology review represented breast cancer. The incidence of breast cancer in men has been increasing. The tumor can occur over a wide age range, but typically appears in men in their sixties and seventies.

Cannabis or Marijuana Antiemetic Theraphy for Cancer Patients

New Mexico: This study involved 250 patients.The study compared marijuana to THC capsules. The research protocol was approved by the FDA in 1978. In order to participate in the research the patient had to be referred by a physician and had to have failed on at least three other antiemetics. Patients were permitted to choose marijuana or the THC pill.
Both objective (e.g., frequency of vomiting, amount of vomiting, muscle biofeedback, blood samples and patient observation) and subjective measures were made to determine the effectiveness of the drug.

Prostate Diet due to Prostate Cancer

Researchers from Canada have found that having a diet of red meat, organ meats, soft drink and bottled water increased the risk of getting prostate cancer. They compared the diets of 80 men with prostate cancer, and 334 healthy men, and the diet just described more than doubled the risk of developing prostate cancer.
So what prostate diet can reduce the risk of prostate cancer? Swedish researchers examined the diet of 1499 men with prostate cancer and 1130 men who were healthy, and they published their findings in the Cancer Causes and Control journal.

Cabbage againts Lung Cancer

Can eating your broccoli and cabbage help protect you against lung cancer? According to a study published in the October 29, 2005 issue of the British medical journal, Lancet, the answer is yes.

Jakarta, Masyarakat yang menjalani pemeriksaan colonoscopy (usus besar) pada pagi hari ternyata lebih potensial dalam mendeteksi pertumbuhan kanker dibandingkan dengan pemeriksaan colonoscopy sore hari.

Peneliti dari Clevelend Clinic di Ohio menemukan bahwa sekitar lebih dari 3.600 pemeriksaan colonoscopy di klinik tersebut, rata-rata deteksi tumor lebih tinggi pada saat dilakukan pagi hari.
